TOKYO, June 7 (UPI) -- McDonald's Japan is using a Hamburglar-like McNugget thief to promote a contest offering a five-piece box of 18-karat-gold nuggets.
Customers of the fast food eatery in Japan are being called on to follow "Kaito Nuggets" on Twitter and tweet about his exploits as he makes appearances at McDonald's locations around the country.
Participants are entered into a lottery to win a five-piece box of McNuggets made from 18-karat gold.
Runners-up can win free five-piece boxes of McNuggets made from chicken.
The campaign is aimed at promoting McDonald's Japan's two new dipping sauces, creamy cheese and fruit curry.
