South Africa now issues 5 year Visa to Nigerians

Last Updated: 2 minutes ago

Some time ago, it was a challenging period for Nigerians residing in South Africa, when their lives were threatened by South Africans.

Many Nigerians and other African countries lost their lives and valuables to the violent attacks of South Africans.

Thank God peace is finally restored, and both countries are at peace with each other.

To harness togetherness between both countries, South Africa has now authorized a longer visa for Nigerians who constantly visit their country.

Speaking with NAN, yesterday, the country’s diplomat had this to say. “Our president has indicated that Nigeria and South Africa need to intervene by making it easier for our nationals to have visas to our two countries. Business people and frequent fliers will qualify for long term visa of two to five years.”

MOUNT ISA, Australia, June 7 (UPI) -- An Australian woman went to extraordinary measures to care for a frog after she accidentally ran over it with her lawn mower.

Min Tim’s ran over the green tree frog while mowing her lawn and subsequently contacted her niece Felicia Morgan and told The Brisbane times that she asked her to "say prayers" for the frog.

"She had rung me up devastated because she was mowing the lawn and didn't see the frog that was underneath and he got clipped behind his head," Morgan said.

The two women then came together and attempted to care for the frog by treating its wound with gauze from a first aid kit.

After attempting to patch up the wound, Tim’s and Morgan contacted Deborah Pergolotti, president of Frog Safe frog hospital in Cairns.

"I knew we were going to save him because he was a little fighter to begin with, he survived the first night," Morgan said.

The women coordinated with Pergolotti to have the frog, properly packaged, flown about 800 miles to the hospital in Cairns.

"The only thing that we could do to help this lady in Mount Isa was to get the frog to Cairns," Pergolotti told ABC News. "That started a big bureaucratic process of finding out which airlines now had the contract to service Mount Isa and Cairns, contacting them, and then they had to contact their animal handling people."

After passing through airport security and receiving assistance from three different businesses, including a free flight, the frog arrived in Cairns to receive treatment.

"As we were recovering the injury and getting all that cleaned up we discovered he had some internal parasites so that might have made him ill enough to be out on the lawn to begin with during the daylight hours," Pergolotti said.

She added that most people don't consider that frogs can receive treatment and said the frog was fortunate that Tim’s and Morgan went to such lengths to care for it.

"He is an extremely lucky animal to have survived being run over by basically a blender on wheels and we paid a huge amount of attention to him but he has recovered very well," she said.

Cleanliness Is next to Godliness...As Daddy Freeze Lashes at Worshippers

Last Updated: 1 hour ago

Daddy Freeze is not supportive of any religious sect that is dirty. Recently, a video of a group of worshipers inside a dirty water pool has been making its way around the internet. To Freeze, this is poverty mentality and these people were only worshiping the god of the flies.

He went on to emphasize that cleanliness is next to Godliness “Is this really from GOD? “ he had asked “The Europeans say cleanliness is next to Godliness! Say whatever you may but this is why I like Muslims, they clean themselves in ablution before they pray and if a drop of that filth splashes on them they clean themselves afresh! “

He said “This isn't worshiping the LORD, this is praying to the lord of the flies! Did GOD ask us to worship him in filthy smelly mud filled with urine and faecal matter? If you have been to the ghetto you will see kid’s pooing and adults peeing in that mud! The LORD loves a sweet savour not a pungent odour Listen guys this is poverty mentality…. GOD GAVE YOU A BRAIN WORSHIP HIM WITH IT; DON'T USE UR PASTORS NUTS TO THINK! “

The Rise Of Selfies!

How many photos of you are on your phone right now?

These days, humans take almost 1 trillion photos a year. (To put that into context, that’s more photos every few minutes than in the entire 19th century.)

And lots of these photos are selfies—self-portraits, usually taken with a smartphone. As of this writing, nearly 300 million Instagram photos had been tagged with the selfie label.

We love getting into the “whys” of social media psychology, so in this post I set out to discover why we love taking photos of ourselves—and why we love viewing selfies.

What does “selfie culture” say about the world we’re living in now, and how can viewing photos of others help us make better decisions and even understand one another better? Read on for the full psychology of selfies.

A brief history of selfies: Why we take them

As early as the 15th century, according to Dr. Terri Apter, psychology lecturer at Cambridge University:

“People who had access to self-representations were keen to make use of them. In this way people could control the image projected, and of course the fact that the image was on display marked the importance and status of the person represented.”

So self-portraits are about self-image—how we define ourselves.

They’re also a way to figure out who we are. The “looking-glass self” is a psychological concept that says that how we see ourselves doesn’t come from who we really are, but rather from how we think others see us.

And now that we can A) take a selfie in mere moments, and B) share them with thousands of people online at any time, the impact that others have on our self-value has increased.

The site Everyday Sociology argues that this change has led us to invest more into selfies as part of the work of projecting our identities onto others:

“The more pictures you post of yourself promoting a certain identity—buff, sexy, adventurous, studious, funny, daring, etc.—the more likely it is that others will endorse this identity of you.”
